Privacy Policy

Effective: September 20, 2026 / Last updated: October 2, 2026

Keisuke Sugimoto, doing business as Pohoda (“we,” “us”), provides the iOS apps “KATACHI,” “Keep In Touch,” “Graph,” “One CRM” and “Utility” (the “Apps”). This policy explains how information is handled in the Apps.

1. Our approach

The Apps are local-first. What you record in an App is stored on your device and is not sent to our servers. We can’t see or retrieve it. The Apps show no ads, don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and contain no analytics or tracking SDKs. We don’t have user accounts.

2. Information handled by each App

KATACHI

2.1 Information you record

Workout records, body weight and body fat, and body photos are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us.

2.2 Health data (optional, Pro)

If you allow it, KATACHI reads your weight and body fat from Apple Health and adds them to your records, and can write the values you record back to Apple Health. This data stays on your device. We don’t use Health data for advertising or share it with anyone.

2.3 iCloud backup (optional, Pro)

If you turn on iCloud backup, your records sync to your own private iCloud storage. It belongs to your Apple account; we have no access.

2.4 Camera and photos

The camera and photo library are used only to take or choose body photos and store them on your device. Face pixelation in shared images and timelapses runs on your device.

2.5 Purchases

KATACHI Pro is bought and renewed only through Apple. We never receive your card or payment details, and we don’t use third-party purchase-management services.

Keep In Touch

2.6 Information you record

The contacts you add (names, nicknames, birthdays, photos, interaction history and notes) are stored only on your device and are not sent to us. Optional backup files are written to your own iCloud Drive at your request. Calendar events are read on your device only to show upcoming events, and only if you allow it.

2.7 Apple Intelligence (optional)

On supported devices, conversation suggestions and yearly recaps use Apple’s on-device language model. The text involved is processed on your device and isn’t sent to us or any third party.

2.8 Purchases

The Basic plan is bought and renewed only through Apple’s StoreKit. We never receive your payment details, and we don’t use third-party purchase-management services.

Graph

2.9 Information you record

The numbers, graph settings and notes you enter are stored only on your device. Graph does not use the network. CSV exports are written to your device when you ask for them.

2.10 Purchases

The Supporter plan (yearly) and the lifetime purchase are handled only through Apple. We never receive your payment details.

One CRM

2.11 Information you record

The customers, contacts, deals, activities, tasks, notes and photos you record are stored on your device. When iCloud sync is on (the default), they are also stored in your own iCloud (Apple’s CloudKit, private database), so the same content appears on your iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in with the same Apple Account. You can turn sync off at any time in Customize. In every case the data is not sent to our servers and we cannot see or retrieve it. Backup and CSV files are written to your device when you ask for them. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs.

Team sharing (Japan only): One CRM has a “Use as a team” feature that lets an owner share a business with invited participants through Apple’s CloudKit sharing. It is offered only on the Japanese App Store (and requires Pro), so it is not available to you outside Japan. Where it is used, shared data is stored in the owner’s iCloud and we have no access to it; the owner adds and removes participants, and when a participant is removed or sharing stops, the business disappears from that participant’s device, but anything they exported or otherwise took out of the app is not deleted. To prevent one purchase being used by several people, an identifier derived from the participant’s iCloud user ID and purchase (a value that cannot be reversed) is stored for each participant in the owner’s iCloud; we do not receive it.

2.12 Contacts, photos and Face ID

If you choose “Import from Contacts,” the contacts you select are read on your device and added to One CRM. Photos are stored only if you pick them. Like your other records, imported contacts and photos are stored on your device and, when iCloud sync is on, in your own iCloud; they are not sent to us. The app lock uses your device’s Face ID, Touch ID or passcode; we never receive biometric data.

2.13 Apple Intelligence (optional)

On supported devices, natural-language search, entry and questions use Apple’s on-device language model. The text and parts of your records involved are passed to that model on your device only, not to us or any third party.

2.14 Purchases

Pro plans (monthly, yearly and lifetime) are bought, renewed and restored only through Apple. We never receive your payment details.

Utility

2.15 Memos and tasks

The memos and tasks you record are stored on your device and are not sent to us. If you allow it, Utility reads, creates and edits events in your device’s Calendar (EventKit) to show and manage events there; calendar data is managed by Apple’s calendar service, not by us.

2.16 iCloud sync and backup (memos and tasks only)

Memos and tasks sync to your own private iCloud storage (CloudKit) and are shared across your devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Utility also saves dated backup files of memos and tasks to your own iCloud Drive, automatically or on request. Both belong to your Apple account; we have no access. Health entries (below) are never part of this iCloud sync or backup.

2.17 Health entries (device only — never stored in iCloud)

Weight and body fat you enter manually, and — if you allow it on iOS/iPadOS — steps, weight and body fat read from Apple Health, stay only in local storage on that device; they are never synced to iCloud or included in the iCloud Drive backup (in line with Apple’s App Review guidelines on personal health information). If enabled in Settings, Utility writes the weight and body fat you record back to Apple Health (on by default). Reading and writing both happen on-device and are never used for advertising or shared with anyone. If you export a CSV (an explicit action through the share sheet), that file does include health entries.

2.18 Notifications

Reminder notifications are local only and are not sent anywhere.

2.19 Purchases

The Supporter plan (yearly) and the lifetime purchase are bought, renewed and restored only through Apple. We never receive your payment details, and we don’t use third-party purchase-management services.

3. Other people’s information

Some Apps let you record information about other people (for example contacts, customers and photos). That information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You are responsible for collecting and using it lawfully. If you use an App for a business, you may be the controller of that information under privacy laws that apply to you.

4. How we use information

Because we don’t collect your recorded data, we don’t use it. We use information you send us voluntarily (such as an email to support, which may include your email address and what you write or attach) only to respond to you and to improve the Apps. Our legal basis, where UK or similar law requires one, is our legitimate interest in supporting our users, or your request to us. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, and are then deleted.

5. Sharing and service providers

We don’t sell or share your personal information, and we don’t provide it to third parties except where the law requires. The only service involved is Apple Inc. (App Store payments, and iCloud if you turn on backup), which acts under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not use RevenueCat or any other analytics, advertising or purchase-management provider.

6. Retention, your choices and your rights

7. Tracking and advertising

The Apps show no advertising and do not track you. They do not use the App Tracking Transparency prompt because there is nothing to track. Because the Apps have no advertising or analytics providers, no third party tracks you through them. The Apps do not run in a web browser, so “Do Not Track” signals do not apply; our website, pohoda.jp, does not use tracking cookies or advertising.

7A. Information categories (California and similar laws)

In the past 12 months we have not collected, sold, shared or disclosed for a business purpose any personal information from the Apps, other than emails you choose to send us. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

8. Children

The Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. We collect no information from anyone. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Apps with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.

9. International use

We are based in Japan. Your data is stored on your own device, so it is not transferred to us or to other countries by the Apps. If you email us, your message is processed in Japan (and by our email provider), and Japan’s laws on the protection of personal information apply to us. The Apps are currently offered in selected countries and regions and are not offered in the European Economic Area.

10. Security

Data is stored in your device’s protected storage. You can lock the Apps with Face ID or your passcode where available. Keep your device and iCloud account secure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. For material changes, we will post a notice in the App or on this site and update the date above.
